It’s Not a Handbag, It’s a Manbag

Accessories Style Guide

Bags are for men too. A bag is useful because you no longer have to keep everything in your pockets. You can gather all of your pockets contents, plus chargers, sweaters, newspapers, books, your lunch, music devices – anything you need during the day! There are endless opportunities when it comes to bags, there are satchels, pouches, backpacks, and totes. Read on to discover your options.

Satchels

The satchel, or messenger bag, is a great way to look stylish and it’s also practical. It’s great for carrying documents and a laptop to work, and you don’t need to manoeuvre too much if you’re on the metro, or tube.

Pouch

The pouch is the most underestimated item there is, no doubt. It’s very handy. (insert laughter). This is the most stylish option, and is by no means feminine. You’ll look like a stud who knows his fashion if you carry this.

Tote

The tote is not reserved for the female audience, you can wear one too. It holds a vast multitude of items, and it’s easy to hold. The only issue is that things easily get lost, so you might need an additional pouch or two to maintain some sort of order, that is, unless you want to look like Mary Poppins scavenging around your tote to take out your wallet. This is the most feminine option, but do not let this rule the tote out.

Backpack

Don’t forget about the packpack, which is another great choice. It holds more than the other options (apart from the Tote, maybe). The only issue with this, is that it’s difficult to, say, go to a restaurant, or a walk in the park, as it will look like you’re an explorer. You know, someone who’s going to a specific destination. For school or work, it’s a great option but for anything that won’t take you to a specific destination, maybe opt for something else instead. Remember, they’re manbags or satchels, not purses.
